The new season got off to a good start with a 6-2 win at Nu Flavus but Pockets had to settle for a 4-4 draw in their second game away to Steventons but bounced back with two successive wins, the latest a 7-1 home defeat of Golden Lion which takes them into second place, just a point behind Broadhurst who have a 100% record, and top the table with eight points.
The league takes a back seat this week(19th July) as Pockets host Knights Grange in the team k.o.

An away trip to play Eight Farmers in the quarter-finals is Pockets reward for their narrow win against Knights Grange. It was a very close game but Pockets came back from 4-2 down to win the last three frames to make sure of their place in the next round.
A trip to the Top House saw Pockets gain a 5-3 away win to retain second position in the league. They are still one point behind the undefeated Broughton.
A 7-1 home win against The Rifleman and a 3-5 away win at Eight Farmers puts Pockets at the top of the league table on 13 points, the same as White Lion but Pockets have won two legs more than their Crewe rivals.

Pockets interest in the team k.0 ended with a 5-4 away defeat to Eight Farmers.
13/9/17 League Pockets 7 Boars Head 1
With this home win Pockets stay top of the league. They are home again next week when they host The Rifleman in the Plate competition.
Pockets will play host to the Star in the next round of the Plate competition after defeating Rifleman 6-3 at home.
11/10/17 Pockets 7 Military Arms 1
Two away draws against Steventons and The Old Star are the only blemishes on Pockets record this season. This home win sees them on 18 points to top the league after playing 10 games. White Lion just a point behind them in second after their defeat of third placed Eight Farmers.
15/11/17 Plate Competition
Pockets knocked out the Old Star to secure a place in the semi-finals where they will play Turnpike.
A 6-2 away win at Turnpike and a 4-4 draw at home against Broughton kept Pockets top of the league but level on points with White Lion. The two teams clashed on Wednesday and Pockets had home advantage and the chance to go clear at the top of the table but on the night White Lion proved too good for them. A 6-3 victory saw the Crewe team go two points clear of Pockets and with Eight Farmers also winning, Pockets drop into third place.

Four draws in the last six games leaves Pockets no realistic chance of the league title as they now trail leaders White Lion by six points and second placed Eight Farmers are two points in front of them with a game in hand. Pockets will look for success in the semi-final of the plate competition when they host Turnpike on Wednesday 21st February.
The season petered out for Pockets and they could only finish fourth.
The team has split up but Pockets will have a pool team in the league next season and they welcome any new players who are interested in signing on for the Wednesday league.
CREWE SUNDAY LEAGUE
Pockets gained promotion back to the first division but their season has not started too well with just 3 points from their first two games.
