Pockets started in the Mid-Cheshire Sunday Football League way back in the 1985\/86 season. Since their joining\u00a0the old Third Division they progressed over the following five seasons to the Premier Division which they went on to win six times as well as winning both the District Cup and the League Cup several times.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

A SAD DAY FOR CHESHIRE\u00a0 FOOTBALL AS AFTER 50 YEARS THE MID-CHESHIRE SUNDAY LEAGUE WAS OFFICIALLY WRAPPED UP. ONLY SIX TEAMS HAD COMMITTED TO NEXT SEASON AND AS SUCH IT WAS IMPRACTICAL TO CARRY ON.\u00a0 POCKETS HAVE PLAYED IN THAT LEAGUE SINCE 1985 AND I WOULD LIKE TO TAKE THE CHANCE TO THANK EVERYONE THAT HAS BEEN INVOLVED DOWN THE YEARS. THE MANAGERS, PLAYERS, HELPERS, SPONSORS AND FANS. WE HAVE HAD SOME GOOD TIMES AND BAD TIMES BUT ABOVE ALL A LOT OF ENJOYMENT. THE SUNDAY LEAGUE WILL BE MISSED BY A LOT OF PEOPLE\u00a0 AND IT IS A MINOR CONSOLATION THAT IN ITS LAST YEAR POCKETS FINISHED AS LEAGUE CHAMPIONS HAVING GONE UNDEFEATED ALL SEASON.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>
